Bio
Denning Rodriguez concentrates his practice in entertainment, fashion, financing transactions, acquisitions, and general corporate matters. His extensive experience includes representing emerging and established fashion, entertainment, internet, and media companies involving a variety of transnational business and investment transactions.
Denning has structured and negotiated a wide variety of agreements including employment and creative consultancies; project engagements for individuals and design driven companies; trademark and licensing; and private equity and venture capital transactions, factor financing agreements, joint venture agreements, and key engagements for creative directors and executives and major equity transactions for founders/entrepreneurs. In addition, he has negotiated option and acquisition of literary property rights agreements; revenue sharing agreements; affiliation agreements; library acquisitions; agreements relating to equity investments in media companies; first look agreements; licensing and merchandising; sports and other live events; and publishing arrangements.
Prior to joining Pearce LLP Denning practiced at King & Spalding LLP and Epstein Becker & Green, P.C. in Atlanta, representing clients in a variety of automotive and pharmaceutical actions, involving nationwide multi-district litigation (MDL), personal injury lawsuits, wrongful death lawsuits, and catastrophic injury lawsuits. Denning also represented clients, locally and nationally, in a variety of automotive, commercial service, and insurance actions, involving automotive warranty, software licensing, and reciprocal insurance exchange claims. In addition, Denning was Trial and Appellate counsel for a Fortune 500 automobile manufacturer in breach of warranty cases in the State Court and Court of Appeals in Georgia, successfully defending on appeal the first-ever application of the Daubert standard by the Georgia Court of Appeals, as well as successfully appealing an adverse verdict before the Georgia Court of Appeals after being denied the right to open and conclude closing argument by the trial court.
Denning graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Business. After college, he attended the University of Dayton Law School where he earned his law degree. He currently serves on the University of Dayton School of Law Alumni Board of Trustees. Denning is a member of the State bars of Georgia and New York, the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.
